In-office assessment includes a thorough examination with evaluation of mammograms and in-office ultrasound. Cyst aspirations, fine-needle biopsies, and core needle biopsies of nodules can be performed during the first visit. Excision of certain breast lesions and nodules can also be done in the office under local anesthesia. |
